Power of Prayer

1 John 5:14–15
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

“Prayer changes things!”
“Pray until something happens!”
“7 days without prayer makes one weak!”
“Prayers can move mountains!”
These are some of the common prayer quotes that we love to use but sometimes I wonder if we really understand the power available to us through prayer.
Through the prayer of faith in Jesus Christ we are redeemed and rescued from a path leading to death to one of life eternal.

Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Through that same avenue of prayer the sick get healed from all manner of infirmities and diseases.

James 5:15
15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Over and over again we see the power of prayer when we read the word of God, we see those who have dies being brought back to life.

Acts 9:40
40 But Peter sent them all out [of the room] and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise!” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

That’s the power of prayer, its like a doorway to the supernatural. Jesus tells us that WHATEVER we ask the Father in His name according to His will we can rest assured that it will happen. Its done!
Through prayer Elijah closed the heaven and there was no rain. Through the same avenue of prayer Elijah called down fire from heaven. Through prayer Elijah prayed and it rained, talk about tapping into the supernatural!
Through the same avenue of prayer demons are cast out of individuals life meaning we affect the spiritual through our prayer in the natural.

Mark 9:2 (AMP)
29 He replied to them, “This kind [of unclean spirit] cannot come out by anything but prayer [to the Father].”

You and I have the same power available to us today through prayer. It is a doorway through which we connect with and commune with God all mighty. Through prayer our lives are changes and even the environment around us. Like the men and women of the bible through prayer we can experience the amazing manifestations of Gods power here and now.

My greatest prayer today is “Lord teach me how to pray!” Because If I learn how to pray that prayer in Gods will, I am assured that He hears me and whatever I ask in Jesus name I will receive! With that kind of promise what else could I ask for?
Lets learn how to pray!

Reflections;
