Look to The Lord!

Watching the news and following interactions on social media over the last few days, one thing is clear, the world is anxious and in fear. The corona virus outbreak is bringing a shutdown in many countries and many are afraid and anxious because they are uncertain of what the future holds especially because no conclusive solution had been discovered to deal with this outbreak.

Psalms 56:3-4
When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You.
4 In God, whose word I praise; In God I have put my trust;
I shall not fear. What can mere man do to me?

Think about this, worry is faith in the negative; trust in the unpleasant, assurance of disaster and belief in defeat…worry is wasting today’s time to clutter up tomorrow’s opportunities with yesterday’s troubles.
Worry simply pulls tomorrow’s cloud over today’s sunshine and gives a big shadow to sometimes small things.

If you are not a man or woman of prayer then you are living yourself open for worry especially in this season.
When David was in trouble and overwhelmed, he knew where to run to. He says that whenever he is afraid, he will put his trust and faith in God and not allow fear to overwhelm him.
Have you allowed fear to overwhelm you in this season?
Have you allowed the negative and fearful information concerning this virus to fill your heart and drive you into panic?
David says in God whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust!
Now more than ever, you and I need to be reading and speaking the word of God over our life and our situation. Doing that will enforce our trust in God!

Recognize that you are inwardly fashioned for faith, not for fear. Fear is not your native land; faith is. You are so made that worry and anxiety are sand in the machinery of your life; faith is the oil. You are designed to live better by faith and confidence in your creator than by fear, doubt and anxiety. Remember;

2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified Bible
7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

Reflective Thoughts
