Let Your Life Show
If you love Jesus, your life will show it.
John 14:15 (AMP)
15 “If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.
It is easy to say that you love Jesus and if you walk out in the streets and ask people if they do love Him, I can guarantee you many will say that they do. Now saying is one thing but showing is a whole new level and that is the level of authenticity. Anybody can say that they love Jesus but not many can show the fruits of that love.
On speaking about false prophets, Jesus said that you will know them by their fruits. If you love Him then you will stay connected to Him because as he said, He is the vine and we are the branches and if we remain in him then we will bear fruit and as we do so the Father will prune us so that we can bear much fruit. To stay connected to Him means that you are feeding off Him and this is a sure guarantee that your life will change to conform to His philosophy.
You cannot claim to love Jesus and your life has nothing to show for it, because what you love you give your life to and what you give your life to you become. What kind of story is your life telling?
Christians were given that name first in Antioch and it was not because of what they said, rather it was because of the way they lived their life. They demonstrated traits that had been seen in Jesus no wonder they were called Christians.
It is interesting then when you tell people that you love Jesus and you are now a Christian, there is a way that they expect you to live your life now that you have made that claim and declaration, and the begin to look for those traits in you to confirm if you are truly a believer.
Jesus said that him who has been forgiven much will love much. This means that the way you live your life will demonstrate the quality of your love for Him. If you truly love Him then you will be careful to observe all that he has commanded. In fact, his last words to his disciples were that they were to go out and make disciples teaching them to observe everything that he had commanded them to do. Not some things, but EVERYTHING!
Take Out
If you love Jesus you will obey His commandments and your life will tell the story.
Remember;
Leaves may look appealing but a tree is known by its fruit.
