Excuses: I am slow of Speech

Exodus 4:10
10 But Moses said to the LORD, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.”
Moses is having an experience at the burning bush, it is a pivotal point in his life as God is commissioning him into his destiny as the man to deliver Israel from slavery in Egypt but Moses is full of excuses. Who am I? What shall I say? What if they do not believe me? Now he focuses on his physical limitations.
God, you are sending me to speak before Pharaoh and the people of Israel but I have never been much of a speaker. In fact for your information I am slow of speech and tongue so this cannot work out. I guess Moses has forgotten that it was God who created him and He knows all the so called limitations that Moses has.
I always wonder when I read this scripture why this was an issue for Moses at this time because the guy was basically brought up as royalty and I believe he did lots of public speaking and being slow of speech was never an issue.
Many of us use our physical limitations real or imagined as an excuse why we cannot accomplish what God is calling us to do. The physical limitation becomes a crutch that we become so dependent on we are not willing to let go of it meaning we do not have the faith that God can turn things around.
I once heard TD Jakes share how he would sweat, tremble, and stammer and get nauseous every time he would have to stand before a congregation to speak in his earlier years of ministry but he kept at it and look at what God has done. Today he is one of the most celebrated speakers we have.
What is your excuse? Why can’t you go and do what God is calling you to do? What is your physical limitation that has become the crutch you are always using as an excuse?
Remember all things are possible to them that believe and what is impossible with man is possible with God.
Let go of your excuse and step into your destiny, No more excuses!
